takeout MARKETING creates campaigns for back-to-back #1 albums on the Billboard Top 200

takeout MARKETING created comprehensive online marketing and press campaigns for two recent superstar album projects: Sugarland and George Strait.  Where most marketing companies would limit their reach to country music outlets for these artists, takeout MARKETING went beyond the core and obtained significant coverage with pop music and general entertainment targets.Sugarland has become one of the most popular artists in music and with the August 4th release of their live CD/DVD LIVE On The Inside, as well as a highly-rated special on ABC TV, the multi-platinum duo found themselves on top of the world — and the Billboard charts — as they debuted with the #1 album in America on both the Pop (Top 200) and Country sides.

The following week, the King of Country racked up his fifth #1 album with TWANG, also topping both the Country and Top 200 (Pop) sales charts. TWANG was also the first album to outsell Michael Jackson’s “Number Ones”, since the death of the King of Pop.  George Strait has sold over 67 million albums throughout his record-breaking career and currently sits in third place on the all-time platinum/multi-platinum album certification list, behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
